Bad boys, bad boys, wha cha going to do when they come for you? Well on evidence of this movie all you can do is stand by and watch the body count rise. Take the first movie and multiply the action and the cool factor by 10 and you get Bad Boys 2. |

Off the bat one of the things that Bad Boys 2 manages to do better than any other movie is keep Martin Lawrence under control, this guy normally is the most annoying actor in Hollywood with his over the top gestures and his irritating loudness, but it seems that he can give a restrained performance when directed by Micheal Bay. In this movie Martin is actually funny, and he and Will Smith make a good team, but make no mistake the star of this movie is The Fresh Prince, he is uber cool, this guy is the guy that all other guys wish they were. In this movie he's got the looks, the build, the clothes, the fine cars and one of the hottest honies in town! Boy that Gabrielle Union babe is hot. This is a Micheal Bay and Jerry Bruckhiemer movie and that alone tells us that it is going to be loud, but nothing will prepare you for the reality of how loud it is! Micheal Bay has upped the action quotient considerably and we get tons of car chases, gun battles and babes in bikinis! The script is just there to hold together all various action sequences that Micheal Bay can think off and to also provide an excuse for witty repartee between Will and Martin which provides most of the charm of the film. |

I went into this movie thinking it was going to be rubbish and I was pleasantly surpised that it was actually a decent movie. This kind of movie is not expected to win any Oscars, is not menat to tax the brain, it's main aim is to provide a nice evening of popcorn entertainment and on this level it provides big time. This is definitely a guys film and it makes no apologies for it. The film made me laugh quite a bit and had loads of thrills throughout. I would give this a pleasantly surprising 6.5/10 As the saying goes: we ride together, Shazam! |
