I enjoyed this movie and it seemed much closer to the book as I remember it. Matt Damon makes a surprisingly good action star which I would never have thought of! In my opinion he is much better than his best friend Ben Affleck. The plot revolves around the fact that after the first movie Bourne has settled into a simple life with his woman, but they are eventually tracked down by some rogue elements and his ladyfriend is killed in the process and Jason himself is framed. |

This inevitably leads to Bourne heading back to face his tormentors and to make them pay. This sequel is an adequate follow up to the first one but I think the first one was the better movie. The main quibble I had with this movie was the directing of the major fight scene, the director went for an effect that made the sequence hard to follow. It seemed that the cameraman himself was in the fight and the camera work was just to jarring for my liking. The other fights were shot well just like the first movie and I just wished this was the case for the fight between the two former agents. The ending was also a bit anticlimactic but I suppose we should not expect everything to end with a bang!!! |

So roll on the Bourne Ultimatum! I give this a generous 7/10 Shazam! |
