After watching this movie I realised that almost all of Jim Carrey's films are watchable, oh maybe not Cable Guy, ok maybe also Dumb and Dumber, ok, ok maybe Ace Ventura 2 was cack as well but the point I am trying to make is that he has more hits than misses.

Bruce Almighty is not the pinnacle of filmmaking but it is a pleasant 90 mins that will leave you with a smile on your face.

This is more in the vein of Liar Liar and Jim Carrey while quite funny in this film is not as over the top as he sometimes can be.

The whole premise of the movie is that Jim's character called Bruce Nolan feels that he is getting no breaks in life and rails against the Lord, as a result of this God (Morgan Freeman) is a bit peeved and decides to give Bruce a crack at his job.

Cue the jokes and setups!

Jennifer Aniston as the wife of Bruce does not have a lot to do in this movie but one memorable scene was the sex scene, when Bruce with the powers of God decided to show his wife the meaning of the phrase "The Earth moved".

I enjoyed this film and there is not a lot to find fault with it and since I watched this on half price night it was money well spent.

This scores a godly 6/10
