Goldmember:

I went to watch Goldmember all by myself since my wife is not a fan. I enjoyed it a lot maybe even more so because I did not have to worry about whether my wife was enjoying it or not. My rating for this movie is 7/10.

Synopsis: Our favourite bad tooth British agent is back with a bang, this time out Austin Powers has to rescue his dad Nigel Powers from evil megalomaniac Goldmember and at the same time earn his fathers respect.

Director : Jay Roach
Starring : Mike Myers, Micheal Caine, Beyonce Knowles & Verne Troyer

Positives & Negatives :

I will not break this review down into positive and negatives because this film hangs on it's jokes and they fall into both aforementioned categories. Suffice to say that the good jokes far outweigh the bad ones for me and hence my giving the film a pass mark, especially since it made laugh out loud on more than one occasion. By the way can someone please tell me where can I get a shaguar?

My best moment in the movie was the rap song in jail by Dr. Evil and Mini-me, an instant classic! Also this time around I actually found some of the fat bastard character's jokes funny!

For anyone who liked the previous outings they are sure to love this one as it continues along the same lines and in certain cases actually recycles jokes from its predecessors, but if you hated the last powers movies do not bother as you will not like this any better.

If new to Austin Powers give it a try you might be pleasantly surprised.

Beyonce Knowles gives a decent and energetic first outing and I am pleased for her, and more importantly she looks hot enough to eat but can someone tell her to please stop using my sign off call!

Micheal Caine is superbly cast as Austin Powers Dad Nigel who has even more mojo than his son.

Another enjoyable part of this film is the mini movie within it starring Tom Cruise, Kevin Spacey, Danny Devito, and John Travolta playing Austin Powers,Dr. Evil, Mini me, and Goldmember in that order.

Hopefully Mike Myers will make this the last in the franchise as I do not want to see this descend into mediocrity, anyone remember Superman IV?

See ya later and like Beyonce would say,

Shazam!
