I, Robot while sci-fi was definitely NOT hardcore.

Examples of hardcore Sci-Fi you ask me?

While this was an enjoyable 90 minutes, it was a bit light in content and did not take too much concentration to follow. I have read the original novel by Isaac Asimov that this film was loosely based on, and that was pure sci-fi and one of the all time greats of that genre.

I wished this film was as deep and complex as the book but this is summer and this Will Smith and he does not like to take too much risks in his film choices, so they have played it safe and dumbed it down for the populace. It will do well and is not bad compared to some other summer fare.

Will Smith was there with all his wiseass remarks plus a shot of him naked in the shower that got my babe all excited.

What was with the adverts in this movie though??? Within the First 5 minutes we are blatanty hit with two adverts for a make of trainers and for FedEx!!

I also loved the robot fighting sequences.

I give this a decent 6.5/10
