Well this film turned out better than I expected. Terminator 1 and 2 are classics of the Sci-Fi/ Action genre and the thought of having a sequel without James Cameron directing seemed like sacrilege, add to that the fact there is no Linda Hamilton makes this seem like an all round bad idea.

Well surprise surprise this film does not suck!

Arnold still looks good as the unstoppable killing machine and the new Terminator T-X as protrayed by Kristanna Loken seemed impressive as the latest version of the Terminator with a few tricks up it's sleeve.

The direction by Mostow is capable and the script is not bad either.

There are lots of action and the fight between the terminators was excellant.

My only gripe with this film is the fact that there is no bad ass in it.

In the first movie we had the character Kyle Reese played by Micheal Biehn as the soldier sent from the future to protect Sarah Conner and he was badass to the core, In the second movie Sarah Conner has now become the badass herself and in my opinion Linda Hamilton as Sarah Conner was a career best performance. So in part 3 who do we have to continue the the bad ass role?

The answer is no one, the closest we get is Nick Stahl as John Conner but he seems to be more of a bum than a hard bitten soldier.

This film needed a tough as nails character to continue the trend of the first two movies, in this film the only persons who get to kick any butt are the robots.

But apart from that it is a good movie with quite a good ending as well.

Of the three this is the weakest but it is still good in it's own right.

This scores a very adequate 7/10

Hasta la vista baby,
